A stress-free move in Basingstoke

The Green family make the most of Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange scheme to secure their ideal home at the leading housebuilder’s Limes Park development of houses for sale in Basingstoke.
With busy jobs in education and being parents to two teenage daughters, the last thing Helen and Ronnie Green wanted was a stressful house move when they began their search for a new property in Basingstoke.
So when they heard about Taylor Wimpey’s hassle-free Part Exchange scheme at its sought-after Limes Park development of new homes in Basingstoke, they were happy to let the leading housebuilder take the strain.
“It was a totally painless process,” says Helen (40), a teaching assistant at Bishopswood Junior School in Tadley, which is just a short commute from the development of property for sale in Basingstoke.
“We knew about Limes Park, had a look around the showhome – which was gorgeous – and knew we wanted to live there.
“We thought the prospect of selling our home in Tadley may have been a stumbling block – but with Part Exchange it wasn’t.
“We reserved our new home and relaxed as we knew Taylor Wimpey was buying our house from us, so we didn’t need to worry about a thing – we didn’t need to find a buyer or be at the mercy of a property chain.”
After seven years in their old home in Tadley, the Greens are quickly settling in to their brand new ‘Gillies’ three-bedroom townhouse at Limes Park.
“The area is really nice and peaceful, which has been a very pleasant experience as there was a problem with noise in the street outside our old home,” says Helen.
“There are also plans for a doctor’s surgery nearby, and some units for new shops, so we’ll have plenty of amenities on our doorstep.”
The location on the north-western fringes of Basingstoke is also ideal for Mrs Green’s husband Ronnie (38) who commutes six miles north to Silchester Primary School where he works as assistant head teacher.
Their student daughters Emily (17) and Katherine (16) are also able to get to Queen Marys College easily, thanks to a regular bus service into town, which is a mere two miles from Limes Park.
A stunning collection of homes to suit all types of buyer is available now at Limes Park, ranging from two-bedroom coach houses from as little as £179,995, three-bedroom houses from just £249,995 and four-bedroom townhouses from only £274,995.
The development includes designated cycle routes, public open spaces and new bus services to connect with main routes and provide an alternative to the car for residents.
Basingstoke town centre itself combines historical influences with bustling modern shops and exciting leisure pursuits, while Festival Place shopping centre comprises more than 150 shops, restaurants, bars and cafés.
The town is also home to a choice of music venues, multi-screen cinemas, tennis courts, a leisure park, sports clubs, an ice rink, a swimming pool and bowling alleys. The open countryside is also just a stone’s throw away, offering nature trails and opportunities for woodland walks and cycling.
