X-Lite and Phoenix kick off this year’s show with a true superstar

As announced recently, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, the recently crowned and thoroughly deserved 2010 MotoGP champion, will be opening this year’s Motorcycle Live event at the NEC Birmingham on 27th November on behalf of X-Lite, and the brand’s new UK importer, Phoenix.

Lorenzo has been wearing, developing and winning in X-Lite for the last 3 years, while his smooth riding style, easy charm and quiet determination has won him many fans around the world. He’s very much looking forward to visiting Motorcycle Live, meeting the Great British motorcycling public and maybe signing (just a few…) autographs!

Lorenzo uses the X-Lite X-802, a helmet developed in the white heat of MotoGP competition, and designed to excel. The X-802 has many features including a visor with an impressively wide field of vision and a superbly fluid mechanism, three sizes of outer shell over head sizes that run from XS-XXL, and uses an ASD (Adjustable Stability Device) built in to aid stability at speed and extract hot air from the interior.

X-Lite is part of the Nolan group – based in Brembate di Sopra, Italy – and has been produced since 1998. Nolan itself has been manufacturing helmets since 1972. Two other helmet brands reside in the company’s range, Nolan and Grex, and all three have earned a strong reputation for innovation and quality.

The Nolan Group will have their brand new exhibition show unit at Motorcycle Live.  Already unveiled at this year’s Intermot show in Cologne on 6th October, its second outing will be at EICMA in Milan, early November.  From there it moves to the NEC, Birmingham where it will be hard to miss on stand R300 Hall 2. The entire 2011 range of X-Lite - including a stunning array of Lorenzo specials - Nolan and Grex will be on display on both the show unit and the main Phoenix stand, R320 Hall 3.
