Samsung Galaxy Europa, the new phone from Samsung designed for social media fans and currently available at Phones4u, has joined forces with the music extravaganza T4’s Stars of 2010 to search for the UK’s fastest and wittiest social media stars and crown the first ever ‘Chatstar’ of the year.

Samsung Galaxy Europa and the T4’s Stars of 2010 event are looking for the cream-of-the-crop of social networkers – those who take pride in their posts, are quick off the mark, and most importantly, make others smile. To be in with a chance of becoming 2010’s ‘Chatstar’, entrants must register at channel4.com/T4 and build their profile of tweets, images, comments and updates. They must then rally their friends and followers to support their campaign in a bid to finish in the top five.

Five chosen finalists will be put through their paces by a presenters and artist panel on T4 on Sunday 14th November – the selected entrants will battle against each other in a series of social media challenges as they vie to make the second round. Two finalists will then go through to the T4’s Stars of 2010 live event which is filmed for live TV which will take place at London’s Earls Court on Sunday 21st November.

Using the Samsung Galaxy Europa, these two finalists will compete against each other by sending live tweets to the audience of the T4’s Stars of 2010 show on the latest backstage news and gossip. Viewers watching at home and those at the event can then cast their vote for the finalist who has the best ‘chat’.

The finalist with the most votes will be crowned the ‘Chatstar of 2010’ on air and will win the ultimate prize; gig tickets for events in 2011 featuring artists from the T4’s Stars of 2010 show. The winner will keep T4 followers in the loop via social networks on the latest news and shenanigans from gigs of Mark Ronson & The Business Intl, Pixie Lott, N-Dubz, and many more.

It’s currently available in black, as well as a stylish black-and-white variety that’s only available at Phones 4u.
