A super day out for Swindon house hunters

House hunters in Swindon enjoyed a fantastic day of family fun with the Super Mario Brothers last weekend, at Taylor Wimpey’s development The Hedgerows. The house builder hosted a day of entertainment to celebrate the launch of two new show homes and the release of properties to buy off plan.
With the help of the world’s most famous plumbers, Mario and Luigi, the launch of the Scotney and Warwick show homes at the development on Dydale Road, was a hit with both adults and children alike. Kids had the chance to battle it out on Super Mario games on the Wii, meet life-sized versions of the Super Mario Brothers and enjoy themed refreshments.
Chris Ashmore, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey attended the day and said: “The day proved a fantastic success - after all it’s not every day you get to meet life-sized versions of iconic gaming characters. The show homes look fantastic and gave people a real feel of what their next home could look like generating great interest in the properties.”
The Scotney is a stunning three bedroom terraced home that has been professionally designed in mellow beiges, creams and yellows. Spread over 2.5 floors, the ground floor comprises a kitchen and breakfast area, open plan lounge and dining area with French doors to the garden and a cloakroom. Two bedrooms occupy the first floor, served by a family bathroom, while a spacious master bedroom sweeps over the top floor with an en-suite bathroom. Priced from £182,995 the Scotney provides the ideal home for young families or those looking to move up the property ladder.
Providing an additional bedroom is the four bedroom Warwick. With accommodation spread over three floors it offers an en-suite to the master bedroom and three further bedrooms served by the family bathroom. Meeting the needs of a family the Warwick provides great value for money from just £197,500.
Along with the Scotney and Warwick house types Taylor Wimpey also has a spacious four bedroom Sailsbury town house, which offers versatile living accommodation spread over three floors and the stunning detached Chelmsford, which offers five bedroom accommodation with two en-suites, a family bathroom and a shower room. Prices start from £279,995.
Chris Ashmore continued: “The Hedgerows is a fantastic development with stunning houses suitable for everyone from professional couples to young and established families alike. All of the homes currently available to buy off-plan offer great value for money, with accommodation spread over 2.5 or three floors. Following the successful launch at the weekend we’re expecting more properties to be snapped up in the coming weeks, but buyers had better be quick as we only have a handful of properties available to buy now ready to move in for Christmas.”
The Hedgerows is well situated for transport links, with junction 16 of the M4 just over five miles away, putting London within 90 minutes’ drive. Swindon train station also has regular, direct services to Bristol and London Paddington in just over an hour.
