The Gateway to new homes in Melksham

18th November 2010 Print

Residents in the historic town of Melksham got the chance to explore one of the region’s newest housing developments this week – thanks to a special coffee morning organised by Barratt.

The housebuilder opened the doors to its exciting new homes at The Gateway – and visitors were treated to a tour of site.

“We have just launched The Gateway and the response we have had so far has been tremendous,” said Barratt sales director, Andrea Pilgrim. “And the interest from local residents has been really supportive, so we thought we would invite our neighbours in for coffee and show them what we have achieved here.”

Visitors were also able to take a closer look at three of the developments showhomes to get an idea of the quality on offer.

“Our visitors took a great deal of interest in these beautiful new homes,” said Andrea. “I think some of them may even decide to up sticks and move down the road to us here at The Gateway. And I don’t blame them.”

The Gateway offers the best of both worlds to buyers looking for a quiet, relaxing setting just a short distance away from excellent local amenities and nearby towns and cities. Melksham is well served by good roads and is just 12 miles south of the M4 motorway. The local train station provides links to Bristol. And there are also nearby rail links to Bath, Cardiff, and London.

For further information about The Gateway, visit the development open daily from 11-6pm.
