Saturday, 4th December will see award-winning developer Millgate Homes launch the new Show Home at Wargrave Park, its hotly anticipated collection of new homes in Wargrave, a sought after Thames side village.

And the development, which consists of just six, 5 bedroom detached properties nestled in a quiet, leafy location within easy reach of the village amenities, has already generated significant interest as David Tate, MD of selling agent Davis Tate, explains:

“We’re delighted to be working with Millgate Homes at Wargrave Park; it’s a prestigious site in an exceptional location - which has to be a winning combination. When you add Millgate’s renowned quality of build and attention to detail, it’s easy to see why there is already so much interest in these very special new homes.

“We last worked with Millgate in 2006 at Sonning Gardens and have eagerly awaited the chance to work with them again, so it’s great that they are building these new homes in Wargrave, right on our patch. The timing of the launch couldn’t be better – 2011 will be Davis Tate’s 20th anniversary year, so to begin the year working on such a fantastic site gives us double cause to celebrate.”

While each of the imposing homes at Wargrave Park is individually designed, they all draw on the local vernacular to ensure that they blend seamlessly with the village’s eclectic range of architectural styles.

The result is a collection of new homes in Wargrave that, while offering all the benefits of new build, has an air of timeless elegance that makes it feel as if it has been in place for many years. The new Show Home will be no exception; its flint clad exterior reflects the time-honoured Berkshire tradition while its interior showcases the space, style and specification that modern family life demands.

The ground floor offers ample space for both relaxation as a family and also for more formal entertaining; a generous hallway provides access to rooms that include a 31’11” open plan kitchen / family room, separate formal dining and drawing rooms, a study and cloak room. A galleried staircase leads to the first floor which houses five bedrooms, four with en suite facilities and an elegant family bathroom.

The specification is set to impress just as much as the scale of this new home; the kitchen will feature bespoke painted units complemented by stone work surfaces and upstands, with a comprehensive range of appliances that include a Falcon dual-fuel range, an American style fridge/freezer in stainless steel, a wine chiller, integrated microwave, and dishwasher. Bathrooms will be just as opulent with sanitaryware by Villeroy & Boch, contemporary Vado chrome furnishings and bespoke vanity units with stone tops. The result will be a property that carries Millgate’s unmistakable brand of quality.

The location of these new homes in Wargrave is just as outstanding at the properties themselves. While the village shops, businesses and traditional pubs provide for day-to-day needs, nearby Henley-on-Thames offers a wider range of shopping, dining and leisure activities. Cosmopolitan Reading, meanwhile, with its state-of-the-art Oracle shopping and entertainment centre is just 6.9 miles* distant.

There’s also a host of good schools, both state and independent, in the vicinity and commuters are well placed for travel by road and rail. Central Reading is within striking distance, as is the A329(M), providing access to the national motorway network via the M4. Wargrave station, meanwhile, offers regular services to London Paddington in as little as 38 minutes**.

The new Show Home is set to launch at 10am on Saturday, 4th December and will be open daily from 10am – 4pm from thereon.
