R&G Racing will showcase a range of new products at Motorcycle Live (November 27 to December 5, Birmingham NEC).

Following the recent release of its Huggers, Chain Guards, Shocktube and braided brake lines, the motorcycle crash protection specialist has reacted to growing market sectors with a brace of adventure bike products and the introduction of an ‘Urban’ range, aimed at maxi scooter riders.

The new Adventure Bars (from £179.99) utilise R&G’s eleven years of strategically mounting crash protectors to offer an alternative level of protection for adventure and touring machines. Powder-coated for durability, the ultra-strong bars encase the engine and, for some applications, can be used in tandem with R&G’s award-winning Aero Crash Protectors to further extend the area of defence.

For riders who stray from the beaten path, the Downpipe Grille (£49.99) features a similar construction method to R&G’s proven Radiator Guard and is designed to deflect debris and therefore reduce damage, such as ‘pitting’, on this vulnerable part of an exhaust.

The Adventure Bars and Downpipe Grille are initially available for the Yamaha Super Teneré 1200 and will soon be available for a whole range of popular adventure and touring bikes, including the Honda Varadero, Suzuki V-Stroms, BMW R1200GS, Triumph Tiger 800 and Kawasaki GTR1400.

The Urban range is a reaction to its customers who, in considerable numbers, are also using maxi scooters and want the same level of crash protection and styling enhancements they’ve come to expect from R&G. Beginning with the Yamaha T-Max 500, the range leads with the extremely tough, bolt-on Footboard Sliders (expected to be over £140).

These special R&G sliders are designed to reduce damage to the side of the scooter in the event of a drop or slide; mounted directly onto a special treadplate with a rubberised boot grip insert, these also create additional grip on the bike.

Fork Protectors (£29.99) are a popular choice in the ‘regular’ R&G range and have now been developed to fit Maxi Scooters in order to defend the expensive suspension and brake components.

On the styling front, R&G has created a Tail Tidy (£125) with an integrated licence plate holder and undertray. This radically sharpens the rear of the bike and is available in matt black or carbon fibre effect. Further tidying of the back of the bike comes from a Rear Spindle Cover (£35), which slots over the exposed spindly spindle to create a solid look.

To see the full R&G range, including the new Adventure and Urban products, visit the R&G Racing stand (R505) at Carole Nash Motorcycle Live (November 27 to December 5) at the Birmingham NEC or go to rg-racing.com.
