New homes boost for Fleetwood

Location and affordability are key factors when buying a property and new Redrow homes in Fleetwood tick all the right boxes, according to a local estate agent.

Two, three and four-bedroom homes are under construction at Redrow’s Fleetwood Harbour Village development and Bryan Simpson of Simpson’s Estate Agents says they’re a welcome boost for the town.

“New homes were last built in Fleetwood before the recession hit so the new Redrow homes are a welcome addition to the housing stock in the area, giving buyers more choice,” Bryan commented.

“Fleetwood Harbour Village enjoys a prime position as it has strong road links, plus there’s a supermarket nearby as well as the shopping outlet Freeport Fleetwood.”

HomeBuy Direct is available on selected properties at Harbour Village, allowing eligible customers to snap up a brand new home at a fraction of the cost.

“Lack of mortgage finance is a problem for some homebuyers in Fleetwood, and the availability of HomeBuy Direct will certainly help those who are struggling to buy on the open market,” Bryan commented.

First time buyers, growing families and those starting over after a change of circumstances could find that with HomeBuy Direct they can take out an equity loan for 30% of the price of a home at Harbour Village. Jointly funded by Redrow and the Homes and Communities Agency, the loan is interest-free for the first five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or they come to resell.

Not everyone is looking for a helping hand onto the property ladder, however, and valuable assistance can also be given to those looking to make their next step up the ladder. Redrow’s Mastermove service employs a local estate agent to market a client’s existing home with Redrow paying the selling fees.

Current availability at Harbour Village includes a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with prices from £123,995 or just £86,797 with HomeBuy Direct.

Later phases will include properties facing the marina, including some magnificent plots with views out over the estuary.

The new marketing suite is now open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm and Redrow is gearing up for the launch of fully furnished show homes in January.

“There has been a lot of curiosity from local people who are wondering what the homes will be like. I’m sure they will be keen to see inside the show homes when they open in January,” Bryan added.

In the meantime would-be purchasers can view the New Heritage Collection product at Buckshaw Village and Sandhurst Gardens, both in Chorley.
