St Neots couple move up the property ladder with Redrow

A couple were so happy with their first Redrow home they decided to upgrade it for another from the award-winning housebuilder in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
Hannah Deans and partner Ian Macaulay, both 28, were first time buyers when they bought a Redrow home in the Northants town of Rushden. However, they soon found they needed a larger home closer to rail connections for Hannah’s job in London.
St Neots was the perfect choice, being just a short walk from a mainline station, and they once again found their ideal home with Redrow at Loves Farm. They opted to part-exchange their three-bedroom end terrace for a luxury four-bedroom detached home and moved in at the end of September.
Ian, an innovation engineer for logistics firm DHL, regularly works from home and is able to use their new found extra space in their ‘Lynton’ house as a home office. Whereas Hannah, an advertising and media manager, had been temporarily renting a flat in London, so is delighted to be living in a permanent home, within commuting distance to the capital from the local train station. Direct trains from St Neots to London Kings Cross take around an hour.
Ian said: “We bought our very first home together from Redrow and were very pleased with the quality and service we received. When we started looking for a new home in St Neots, it was an easy decision to choose Redrow again, and we really liked Loves Farm.
“The house has got plenty of space for us and we were able to part-exchange our previous home, so we didn’t have any of the hassle that comes with selling a property.”
Part exchange means Redrow effectively acted as cash buyer for Ian and Hannah’s previous house, so they had no estate agent’s fees to pay and didn’t need to worry about getting stuck in a complicated housing chain.
“Everything’s gone really smoothly for us. We have enjoyed once again moving into a brand new home as we haven’t had to change a thing or do any work on the house. We’re having everyone round for Christmas dinner as we have the space for the first time and we couldn’t be happier,” Ian added.
Family homes at Loves Farm are currently priced from £181,950 for a three-bedroom design while the largest four-bedroom home could be yours from £349,950. Redrow has also launched its New Heritage Collection of ‘Arts & Crafts’ influenced, traditional looking homes, with prices from £159,950 for a two-bedroom house.
The homes all feature Redrow’s latest interior specification with its emphasis on convivial open plan living, plus contemporary new kitchen designs, including floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances.
St Neots town centre offers many shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, as well as the main attractions of the Great River Ouse and Riverside Park.
As well as the good rail links locally, Loves Farm also offers easy access to the A1, M1 and M11, with Bedford and Cambridge only about 25 minutes’ drive away.
