Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester

Amanda Wakeley will be holding a fashion show at The Dorchester during Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 2 February, transforming The Promenade with her London Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2011 Collection.

Fashion savvy Londoners will have an exclusive opportunity to tap into fashion week and view one of the collections usually reserved for press and fashion A-listers. Amanda Wakeley's Spring / Summer 2011 collection takes inspiration from tribeswomen translated into an urban landscape.

Earthy neutrals, cobalt blue and vibrant coral make up a vibrantly exquisite palette for the season's evening and daywear.

Guests booking the Amanda Wakeley Fashion Week Tea will have complimentary access to her exclusive personal styling service, an expert team headed by Bridget Bowen offering individually tailored shopping advice, edited on a seasonal basis for each client, to deliver the ultimate bespoke service. Amanda will also be table-hopping to solve guests' personal shopping queries and share her experiences of the fashion industry.

Indulge in a glass of Champagne, delicious savoury finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a selection of French pastries. Bookings will also include a goody bag with gifts from contributing luxury brands and a 10% discount on Amanda Wakeley purchases made between 3rd February and 31st March 2011, at the Amanda Wakeley flagship store on Fulham Road.

The Dorchester's rituals are rooted in British custom with a contemporary edge. Whilst the fashion for holding afternoon tea is widely attributed to The Duchess of Bedford in 1830, nowhere has it become more of a current classic than at The Dorchester where tea has been served in The Promenade since 1931 when the hotel first opened. Stretching the length of Nelson's Column and often referred to as the 'Living Room of Mayfair', The Promenade is the buzzing heart of the hotel where flowers surround plush sofas with silk pillows as soft as marshmallows.

The Amanda Wakeley Fashion Tea will take place at The Dorchester on Wednesday 2nd February. Afternoon tea will be served in The Promenade at The Dorchester at two sittings, 2.15pm and 4.45pm, and is priced at £48.00 per adult including a glass of champagne (prices are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of service charge at 12.5%).
