Mitsubishi celebrates London EV Sales Centre launch
Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is pleased to support the launch of the Motor Wey Putney EV Sales Centre at the London dealership on Friday, 28th January 2011. Motor Wey Putney is one of 13 flagship authorised Mitsubishi EV Sales Centres across the UK.
Flagship EV Sales Centres
Motor Wey Putney gained EV Sales Centre approval on 10th January 2011 after dealership personnel completed an extensive i-MiEV training programme. The training will enable staff to have a very clear understanding of the demands and requirements of owning an EV for consumers but also an understanding of the wider industry issues relating to the EV marketplace.
Demonstrator vehicles are already available at the EV Sales Centre for prospects to evaluate and experience what it is like to live with an electric vehicle in real-life conditions.
Electric Vehicle Hand-Overs
Motor Wey Putney celebrates EV Sales Centre status by combining the formal launch with an i-MiEV hand-over to Mitsubishi’s first pure EV customers based in London. A handful of customers that have already purchased i-MiEV will join both dealership and Mitsubishi Head Office staff for a brief presentation, refreshments and an official vehicle hand-over at midday on Friday 28th January.

The i-MiEV is more than just a zero-emissions car. Where other vehicles blend into the background, the i-MiEV oozes confidence and makes strong environmental and fashion statements in one go.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV has also met a wide range of rigorous safety, emissions, performance and other standards set by The Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) resulting in eligibility for the coalition government’s Plugged-In Car Grant (PICG) of £5,000.
