The Iford Flowering Cherry Tree from Focus DIY is guaranteed to make love blossom this Valentine’s Day. Featuring a cascade of delicate pink blossom down weeping branches, this charming tree was first discovered in China by Harold Peto, one of the UK’s foremost plantsmen of the 20th Century. Peto planted the trees on the terrace of his famous home, Iford Manor in Wiltshire, so the branches would shower the pathways and gardens below in a carpet of delicate pink flowers.
The rare Iford tree was only rediscovered in the 1990s after the current owners lovingly restored the house and garden to its former glory.
