The anticipation is finally over as Taylor Wimpey has released the first homes for sale off plan at its biggest, most exciting housing development in Oxfordshire - Great Western Park, Didcot.

The housebuillder has released a selection of three and four bedroom homes starting from £222,000 on the first phase of Great Western Park with occupation anticipated from summer this year.

This ambitious ten year project will see a £60m investment into the area and will span 440 acres of land. When complete the flagship development will comprise 3,300 new homes alongside outstanding recreational facilities, community services, primary and secondary schools, shops, parkland, open spaces and play areas. The investment by Taylor Wimpey will also include £20m for local highway improvements.

Chris Ashmore, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, said:”It goes without saying that a development of this size has taken some planning and it’s therefore been a long time coming for us, and for the people of Didcot and surrounding areas, so it’s fantastic news that we now have properties available to buy off-plan.

“A huge amount of money has been invested into this site to ensure residents have the best provisions at their disposal and to encourage a vibrant community spirit. We’re looking forward to officially launching the development in a couple of month’s time and welcoming the community to find out more about the exciting work we have planned for Great Western Park.”

Phase one of the development will consist of 220 homes and the first of two primary schools planned for the site.
