George Wimpey homeowner Veronica Whale is as satisfied with her new place at the leading housebuilder’s Broughton Fields development of houses for sale in Milton Keynes as she was when she bought it two years ago.

After two years of living in a George Wimpey home, teacher Veronica Whale remains an enthusiastic convert to the leading housebuilder’s high-quality new-build properties in Milton Keynes.

She is still singing the praise of her three-bedroom semi-detached house at the leading housebuilder’s sought-after Broughton Fields development of property for sale in Milton Keynes – 24 months after being handed the keys.

“When we went to look around two different viewhomes at Broughton Fields I was really taken with them, and that feeling hasn’t left me since,” says Veronica, an English teacher at a local school, recalling the day she first took a look around the new homes in Milton Keynes.

She adds that ever since she has moved in to her Milton Keynes property, she has been really pleased with the place.

“Downstairs is such a lovely space; we’ve got a fantastic kitchen and separate dining room, plus a spacious lounge with French doors that open to the garden,” Veronica says.

“All three bedrooms are of a good size, and our master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which is a real treat.

“The outside space is wonderful as it’s a walled garden, which has a lovely feel to it, and the front of the property has a porch – great for keeping the cold out and if you want one on an older house, you normally have to add it yourself.”

Friends and family have also been seduced by the house, says Veronica.

“Everybody who visits us comments on how welcoming, light and bright the house is, and when they find out the price, they think we’ve got a very, very good buy.”

After relocating to Broughton Fields from rented accommodation in Leighton Buzzard, Veronica is also pleased with the prospect of a maintenance-free home as she nears retirement.

“When you get a little older, the last thing you want to be worrying about is the amount of things that can go wrong, or need fixing. That put us off from buying an older property, and I’m glad to say we made the right choice.

“The only thing that I have needed to do is make a few cosmetic touches to what was a stunning blank canvas.

“Not only is everything how we would like it, but we also have the peace of mind of a two-year George Wimpey warranty, and a 10-year National House-Building Council guarantee.”

As ever, location is a key factor for housebuyers and that is no different for Veronica, who appreciates Broughton Fields’ handy positioning on the western fringes of Milton Keynes.

“We are two miles from junction 14 of the M1, and on the bus route which leads to the railway station and the centre of town. We are also a few minutes away from the Kingston Centre retail park.”

A selection of family-bedroom houses is currently available to buy at Broughton Fields, including the versatile four-bedroom ‘Westcott’ at Plot 80 which is ready to move into now for the incredible price of £280,000.

Alternative four-bedroom designs include the desirable ‘Claydon’ at Plot 93, priced only £330,000, and the handsome ‘Hartwell’ at Plot 49, priced just £320,000.

Further information is available on all the new homes by visiting the Sales Centre, located off Newport Road, Broughton, Milton Keynes MK10 7AP, and open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm (1pm to 5pm Mondays).
