Traditional on the outside with high quality modern interiors, new Redrow homes at Buckshaw Village have plenty to offer discerning house hunters.

Set in the heart of Lancashire, between Chorley and Leyland, the Sandy Lane and Village Green phases of Buckshaw Village feature designs from Redrow’s critically acclaimed New Heritage Collection.

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, the homes boast the charm and character of older ‘period’ properties but without the need for expensive repairs and renovations, as inside they are full of family friendly features designed to meet the demands of 21st century lifestyles.

“Our New Heritage Collection homes offer a specification that’s unrivalled among most of our house building peers, let alone the second hand sector,” Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) commented.

“Kitchens are fitted with top brand name integrated appliances, including ovens, microwaves and fridge-freezers, plus under unit lighting; while the floor to ceiling cabinets and extra wide drawers offer plenty of storage. The Redrow standard specification also includes fitted wardrobes, built-in book shelves and outside lights. And in the bathrooms you’ll discover quality fixtures and fittings, with an exclusive tile range.”

All of the homes enjoy the convenience of an en-suite to the master-bedroom, with some enjoying the glamour of a dressing room and others boasting an en-suite to the second bedroom for an added sense of luxury.

And while the New Heritage Collection is already a premium housing product, Redrow has raised the bar at Sandy Lane, where granite work surfaces are standard in the kitchens and most of the properties will feature American-style fridge freezers.

Redrow has calculated that it could cost up to £30,000 to bring an older three-bedroom property up to the same high standard as one of its new homes.

“Buying a second hand property and renovating it yourself may sound appealing, but there’s lots of hard work and expense involved with little, if any, return for the time and money you invest. With a brand new Redrow home you won’t have to worry about inheriting someone else’s decor or DIY disasters, but will enjoy the peace of mind of a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty,” Lesley added.

Well insulated with double glazing and central heating as standard, new Redrow home are also potentially cheaper to run than their older, second hand counterparts.

Prices at The Village Green start from £179,995 for a three-bedroom ‘Tenby’ style property; while at Sandy Lane there’s a choice of large and luxurious four, five and six-bedroom homes available from £354,995.

Buckshaw Village is now well established and, in addition to new homes, features the new Trinity Primary School, recently opened community centre, outdoor sports facilities and a successful business park. A new railway station is scheduled to open in the autumn.

To enable potential purchasers to experience all that the New Heritage Collection has to offer, Redrow has opened the doors to no fewer than six professionally styled homes at Buckshaw Village. And thanks to the online television channel Redrow.TV house hunters can ‘see’ inside show homes from across the country any time of day or night.
