Linda and Robert Chaulk are delighted with their new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Willow Lake development of houses for sale in Milton Keynes.

When contemplating downsizing to a new Milton Keynes property, Linda and Robert Chaulk were a little worried about the space they might be sacrificing.

But after discovering the generous layout of a Taylor Wimpey showhome at one of the leading housebuilder’s most popular developments of new homes in Milton Keynes, they knew they had nothing to fear.

As a result, they bought a three-bedroom ‘Gosford’ house at Willow Lake, a conveniently located collection of houses in Milton Keynes situated on the outskirts of the town in Newton Longville – and haven’t had to compromise at all.

“We were really surprised by the interior of the ‘Gosford’, as, although we have moved from a larger, detached house, we found it to be really spacious,” says Linda, remembering her first look around this impressive Milton Keynes property. “It’s just a really lovely home, and it’s been designed exceptionally well as it lets in so much light.

“We have everything we need here, including a lovely master bedroom with en-suite, a double guest bedroom and a third bedroom which we use as a home office.”

The exceptional value of the ‘Gosford’, a design of home currently available from just £197,000 also meant the Chaulks, who moved five miles down the road from Shenley Brook End in Milton Keynes, had plenty of spare cash to spend on Taylor Wimpey’s interior styling Options to help turn their new house into a home.

Linda adds: “Everything is perfect, just how we wanted it. I’m particularly fond of the tiles we have in our en-suite bathroom and the downstairs cloakroom. The finish is superb and it feels like you are in a swish hotel.

“I kept changing my mind when choosing the different Options, but the Sales Executives Lynn and Nikki at Willow Lake were really patient with me, and helped me choose things that went well together. They were brilliant.”

The Chaulks will also be saving money throughout the winter, as Linda explains: “Our old house was full of draughts and had wooden windows, so it cost a lot to keep warm.

“But here, we’ve hardly had the heating on at all because the insulation is so good, and the double glazing really does the job. So we are looking forward to much lower bills!”

The whole purchasing process with Taylor Wimpey has been given the thumbs up by Linda (59), who works in the customer services department at Xerox in Milton Keynes, and Robert (57), who works at Bardon Concrete in the town.

Linda says: “After seeing the showhome at Willow Lake we put our old home on the market, and accepted an offer on it within two hours.

“Our new house was due to be ready to move into in September, but as we were ready to move in sooner, Taylor Wimpey pulled out all the stops for us and completed the build a month earlier. We were really impressed.

“I must say waking up in the morning in our new home is just lovely – we’ve lived in new houses before, but this just feels that extra bit special.”

A selection of homes at Willow Lake are available to reserve now, and will be ready to move into this winter.

Three-bedroom houses start at just £190,000, four-bedroom houses from only £225,000 and magnificent five-bedroom properties from just £330,000.

For example three-bedroom ‘Gosford’ housetypes are available to move into now for £197,000 with financial support from Taylor Wimpey.

More information about the fantastic homes at Willow Lake is available by visiting the Sales Centre, located off Drayton Road, between Bletchley and Newton Longville, MK17 0EE. The development is open seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and 1.30pm to 5pm on Monday.
