The Kia cee’d has not just one extra award under its belt but two! The cee’d VR-7 hatchback has won the Parker’s New Car Award 2011 in the Medium Hatchback (five-door) category) and is also the overall winner of Parkers New Car Awards.

The cee’d was judged not just for its build quality and style but also taken into account were running costs, fuel consumption and that impressive seven-year warranty all-in-all making the car truly value for money for people when they are considering buying a new car.

Kieren Puffett, editor of Parkers’ commented ‘The Kia cee’d 1.4 VR-7 won the Parkers’ New Car Award 2011 Medium Hatchback(five door) category because in one of the most fiercely-fought sectors in the car market it provides the strongest value package for car buyers by the biggest mark’ .

Designed, tested and built in Europe the cee’d has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2007, with a facelift in 2009, the cee’d offers an unrivalled level of specification and safety features.

The cee’d 1.4 VR-7 is available from just £12,270 and comes with a host of features such as 16” alloy wheels, air-conditioning, Bluetooth with i-Pod connectivity, reversing sensors, remote central locking, Electronic Stability Control with Brake Assist System and Hill-Start Assist, six airbags and front active head rests and that all important seven year 100,000 mile fully transferable warranty. With a low insurance group of just 13 and average fuel consumption figures of just 48.7 mpg it’s easy to see why Parkers’ have chosen the cee’d to be a double award winner.

The Parkers’ New Car Awards have been developed with the purpose of helping car buyers identify “the cars that make your cash go further” in conjunction with their new cost of motoring tool which enables consumers to identify the costs of a new or used car, taking into account all of the costs such as servicing, showroom tax, fuel consumption and depreciation.
