Moving to Liberty Court made easy with McCarthy & Stone

McCarthy & Stone has launched the release for sale at its new retirement development, Liberty Court, on Bellingdon Road in Chesham via its Moving Experience initiative, a free personal moving service which takes much of the hassle and cost of downsizing in later life.
Moving Experience is available to retirees interested in purchasing an apartment at Liberty Court and offers one-to-one support and professional advice covering every stage of your house move from packing and removals right down to notifying people of your change of address.
Benefitting from the complimentary service, all McCarthy & Stone customers are assigned their own Professional Advisor. One-to-one meetings can take place in the comfort of your own home or location of your choice, where the Professional Advisor will explain all elements of the service and discuss your personal requirements.
The comprehensive service includes practical and financial help with the sale of your existing property, liaison with solicitors on your behalf and a full de-cluttering, packing and removals service. The Professional Advisor will also be on hand on the day you move in to ensure everything goes smoothly. There is also a handyman service included for the first month after you move in.
McCarthy & Stone will even provide a free and confidential financial health check to ensure you’re getting all the financial entitlements available to you.
Sharon Callcut, marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone South East says the service is second-to-none and can offer real peace of mind for both purchasers and their families. She comments: “Moving Experience offers invaluable support and advice throughout the process, from the time you market your existing home to the day you settle in to your new McCarthy & Stone apartment at Liberty Court. Moving house can be a daunting prospect at any time of life but by providing Professional Advisors who can offer a truly bespoke service, we aim to make the experience a relaxing and enjoyable one.”
McCarthy & Stone’s Liberty Court development has been designed exclusively for people over the age of 60 and comprises 46 one and two bedroom retirement living apartments.
The apartments are low maintenance in design and benefit from modern fittings, good security and have a number of specialist features. These include 24 hour emergency call points, electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, a security entry system, easy grip lever taps in the bathroom and kitchen and energy efficient heating.
Residents at Liberty Court can also enjoy landscaped gardens, socialise and relax in the communal lounge and invite family or friends to stay at the development’s guest suite.
The development is named after successful businessman, Arthur Lasenby Liberty. Chesham born, he went on to open the famous Liberty store on Regent Street in 1875.
