Lucy and Criss Myers are relishing living in their new home at Miller Homes’ Birkacre Park development in Chorley.

Lucy says: “As soon as we visited Birkacre Park we fell in love with the countryside location of the development. We were previously living in Stockport and this is the first time we have lived somewhere so rural, it’s idyllic and in the longer term will be a great place to bring up a family.”

Besides loving the location of their new home, the Myers are also impressed with its build quality. Criss says: “The quality of our new home is outstanding. We looked at lots of other new developments and the quality of Miller Homes’ properties is outstanding. Everything about our new home is first class.”

The Myers’ have purchased a 5 bedroom ‘Golding’, the first house design they took a trip round at Birkacre Park. Lucy says: “We really liked both the size and the layout of the Golding I like having the kitchen and dining area in one, as everyone can be in the same space when we have friends over for a meal. Another important consideration for us was having space for a piano.”

Since they moved into their new home, Lucy and Criss have been enjoying spending time in all the different rooms. Criss says: “We both really like the lounge, as it overlooks the garden and we have created a separate living and games area in one of the bedrooms, which is a fun space to spend time in.” Lucy is thrilled at having a dressing room, most girls’ dream. She says: “I have plenty of space for all my clothes and shoes, without encroaching on Criss’ share of the wardrobe! The master bedroom, dressing area and en-suite are on their own on the top floor. It’s a really peaceful space that you can shut yourself away in. The views are also great from up there.”

Criss and Lucy decided to home exchange their old home. Criss comments: “As the housing market is slow at the moment we decided Miller Homes’ home exchange was a good way to move and move quickly. We got the offer we were looking for on our old home so decided to go for it.” Lucy continues: “The buying process has been absolutely fabulous and exchanging took the hassle out of moving.”

Lucy and Criss have nothing but praise for the Miller Homes’ team at Birkacre Park. Lucy says: “Nina, the sales adviser, was very supportive and on the ball and we found Tony, the site manager, very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them.”

Besides appreciating everything Birkcare Park has to offer, including a tree-lined approach, water feature and tranquil feel, the Myers’ are also benefiting from its location. Criss says: “I work at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston and it has cut my journey time to work down considerably. Rather than spending lots of time on the motorway I feel I have my life back and now have more time to do things in an evening.
