Traditional looking homes with stylish modern interiors are now on sale in Penwortham, near Preston.

Redrow is building 36 homes from its popular New Heritage Collection at Old Gate Park, off Claytongate Drive. The site of just over four acres is the latest location in Lancashire to feature the critically acclaimed designs, which combine the best of old and new.

Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “We built homes from our original Heritage collection in Penwortham some years ago. We now expect to see keen interest from previous customers who are perhaps ready to move up the property ladder and may be curious about how we have developed our product range.

“We’ve already seen sales success with the New Heritage Collection at Buckshaw Village and Sandhurst Gardens, both in Chorley, and we are confident that the homes will be just as popular with buyers in Penwortham.”

Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts era, the homes will look traditional from the outside, but with modern interiors designed to meet the demands of 21st century family living.

The homes will boast fashionable kitchens that are both practical and stylish with the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage. Bathrooms and en-suites will boast quality fixtures and fittings with an exclusive tile range.

Christine explained: “House hunters will be impressed by the high quality of our homes and pleasantly surprised at what we include as standard, as our specification is unrivalled among most of our housebuilder peers and is generally streets ahead of what’s available on the second hand market.”

In fact, Redrow has calculated that it could cost around £30,000 to bring an older, three-bedroom property up to the same standard of one of its new homes.

“Buying a new home means you don’t have to worry about finding the time or the money for expensive repairs or renovations. Instead you can relax and enjoy peace of mind, knowing that the property is covered by a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty,” added Christine.

“Well insulated with double glazing and central heating included as standard, new homes are also more energy efficient than their second hand counterparts, making them potentially cheaper to run.”

Old Gate Park offers the ideal environment to raise a family as there’s plenty of green space in the area with a choice of schools nearby. The development is close to Preston city centre and the nearby towns of Leyland and Chorley, as well as being well placed for commuting to towns and cities across the north west.
