News that Milton Keynes is the cheapest place in the UK to buy compared to the cost of renting should make Redrow’s spacious apartments in Bletchley even more attractive to first time buyers.

Research by property specialists Zoopla, has found that buying a two-bedroom flat is cheaper than renting a similar property in 80% of towns across the UK, with Milton Keynes seeing the biggest difference.

Redrow’s apartments at Bletchley Park, just two miles from the centre of Milton Keynes, are a fantastic option for first time buyers in the town, where it has been calculated in can it cost over 40% more to rent than buy a property.

By combining the space of a house with the convenience of apartment living, the light, bright and airy homes measure up incredibly well and also compare favourably on price, with a brand new two-bedroom 846 sq ft apartment priced at just £147,950.

Bletchley Park is perfectly placed for commuters as it offers the best of small town living, yet is close to all the amenities of Milton Keynes, is just a 45 minute train ride to the heart of London from the station directly opposite the development and has easy access to the M1.

Tonia Tyler, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “It’s easy to fall into the rental trap but it’s really worth doing the calculations and seeing if you could be much better off purchasing a home of your own. This is particularly relevant for would be home owners in Milton Keynes, where the differential between renting and mortgage payments is higher than anywhere else in the country.

“We can offer help to first time buyers with a tailored range of incentives. With this in mind we are inviting potential purchasers to come and find out what we can offer them.”

It’s a common misconception that apartment developments in great locations such as Bletchley Park are high density with as many apartments as possible squeezed into the buildings. However, at Redrow, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Tonia added: “Our customers tell us they are blown away by how spacious our apartments feel. It’s something we believe sets us apart from many other developers. Our aim is to create homes that are comfortable to live in, with carefully planned layouts that make the most of the space.”

Many of the apartments are ready to move into, with prices for two-bedroom designs starting from £146,950.

All two-bedroom apartments feature two double bedrooms, en-suite to the master bedroom, plus a family bathroom and a generous open-plan living / dining room and kitchen, all situated off a central hallway.
