Fitness First names it's Personal Trainer of the Year

Katie Ford - Fitness First PT of the Year

A combination of dedication to her job, an innovative approach to training clients and passion for fitness have helped earn Katie Ford the title of Fitness First Personal Trainer of the Year 2011.

The Sheffield-based personal trainer faced stiff competition from around the country but triumphed in the annual awards after impressing judges with her approach and success with clients.

“Katie lives by Fitness First’s values and is totally dedicated to her job,’’ said Fitness First UK fitness director Derek Crawford. “In addition to this Katie has proven her innovation with the recent launch of Fit 4 It Bootcamps which have proved so popular she is set to introduce more sessions.’’

Katie was also praised for offering her clients the highest quality in personal training, something which Derek said was evident in testimonials from happy Fitness First members.

“Her knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of an individual’s fitness requirements are fantastic and we’re delighted to have such a great person win this prestigious title,’’ said Mr Gamble.

Katie joined Fitness First in 2004 and in addition to her fitness work is known for organising social and charity fundraising events for staff and members.

Katie said she was delighted to have been awarded the title of PT of the year for a job she loves doing. “Fitness is my passion and I enjoy working with different people from all walks of life, guiding and supporting them to reach their goals," said Katie.

In addition to the title of Personal Trainer of the Year award, Katie was also presented with £1,000 of Thomas Cook vouchers courtesy of award sponsor Lifetime which Provides fitness instructor and personal training courses in the UK.
