Outstanding Afternoon Tea at The Athenaeum

The Athenaeum are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a coveted UK Tea Guild Award for the fourth year running in recognition of the outstanding quality and consistently high standards of their tea service.

The Athenaeum, located in the heart of Mayfair, delivers one of the most exquisite afternoon tea experiences in the capital. Anonymous judges scored the afternoon tea to the very highest standard highlighting the exceptional service, high quality tea and expert knowledge of the hotel’s staff.

Taking afternoon tea in London is now more popular than ever fast becoming an attractive alternative for businesses who view it as a relaxed option for meetings set in stylish surroundings, and remaining a must do experience for tourists visiting the city. Considered to be the ‘Oscars’ of the tea world, now in its 26th year, world renowned hotels and tea rooms compete annually to win a respected UK Tea Guild Award.

The Athenaeum currently serve a tea menu that was created using honey from beehives in the Royal Parks in celebration of its Royal Parks location. Mouth-watering treats on offer include honeycomb marquis, elegant honey macaroons and freshly baked scones served with Regents Park honey and rich Devonshire clotted cream. Guests are given a pot of special athenaeum honey to take away as a memento of their visit.

The Athenaeum’s Honey-Tea is priced at £39 for two people including a glass of honey fizz.

There are 3 sittings for tea: 12:30pm, 3pm and 5:30pm daily.
