Redrow building on Fylde coast success

Redrow is hoping to have the Fylde Coast housing market all sewn up offering everything from luxury villas to starter homes.
Already selling homes in Fleetwood and having recently launched a new development in Wrea Green, the award winning house builder now plans to add to the choice of properties available with new homes in the Whitehill area of Blackpool and in Lytham.
Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “When we launched Harbour Village in Fleetwood last year we were inundated with enquiries from people who were keen to find out more about the coastal homes we are building there. It’s attracted a good mix of buyers including those starting out in life, growing families and downsizers. The development is continuing to attract a strong level of interest from potential purchasers, as is our new site at Wrea Green.
“We expect that our latest homes in Lytham and Blackpool will also prove popular with homebuyers and would urge potential purchasers to register their interest now.”
The first of 12 large executive homes at Wrea Green has already been sold and house hunters are showing a keen interest in the remaining properties in this quintessential village.
While the Wrea Green homes have been designed to appeal to discerning homebuyers and feature a high quality specification, Redrow is raising the bar even further with its plans to build 10 luxury detached villas close to the waterfront in Lytham.
Subject to planning permission, the bespoke homes boasting views over the Ribble Estuary will be released for sale in the summer with prices in the region of £1 million.
Further up the coast, Redrow has acquired the former Hollywood Nurseries site in Whitehill Road, Blackpool. A planning application to build 65 homes has been submitted and, subject to approval, the development will offer 47 detached homes, plus 18 affordable homes. The private sale housing will comprise mostly four-bedroom detached family homes from Redrow’s popular New Heritage Collection. The venture, known as Whitehill Park, is expected to launch this summer.
“At Redrow we don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Recognising that our customers are individuals with different housing needs we offer a choice of house styles with something for everyone; from those starting out, to growing families, discerning buyers looking for a large and luxurious property and downsizers who want somewhere more manageable. With four exciting ventures along the Fylde Coast we hope to be able to offer a home for almost every buyer and their budget,” Christine added.
