British Truck Grand Prix comes to Donington Park

After ten years away from the UK, Donington Park is proud to welcome the return of the British Truck Grand Prix in association with Renault Trucks this weekend, as the 2011 European series commences at the legendary Leicestershire circuit.
As Europe's finest truck racers converge on Donington for the two-day event, fans will be treated to a host of attractions on and off the track, with reigning champion Antonio Albacete looking to start his title defence in the best way possible and activities off the track sure to keep all family members entertained, from the 2010 Memphis World Champion Elvis impersonator, Ben Portsmouth, to stunt shows, trade stands and an impressive truck parade too.
With the 1200BHP trucks taking centre stage and with four races over the weekend, spectators can take in a host of entertaining support races too, from Pick-up Truck racing to the Legends Cars Championship, as well as the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship too.
On top of the action around Donington's famous circuit, the Launch Pad area behind Redgate corner will welcome the opening round of the British Drift Championship on Saturday. Spectators can watch the unique action from the elevated viewing area on the outside of Redgate from 10am – 6pm on Saturday.
With family friendly ticket prices, a special advanced price of £20 per adult for the entire weekend is available via donington-park.co.uk with accompanied children under 15 gaining free entry too. The standard adult admission price for Saturday is just £12 with Sunday entry priced at £16. Advanced ticket sales end at 5pm on Thursday 21st April.
