Lancashire house hunters are showing a keen interest in new Redrow homes near Preston.

Launched last month, Old Gate Park in Penwortham is the latest location to feature Redrow’s New Heritage Collection. Combining traditional Arts and Crafts inspired exteriors, with modern interiors designed to meet the demands of 21st century living the homes are being sold ‘off plan’ from a sales office at the site off Claytongate Drive.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “In the first two weeks we have received enquiries from around 40 people, which is great considering we’re yet to open a show home. Among those who have contacted us are existing Redrow customers who bought our original Heritage designs in Penwortham and are now looking to move up the property ladder. The fact that people are looking to buy a second Redrow home is testament to the high quality workmanship our customers have grown to expect.”

Old Gate Park will comprise 36 four-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £214,995 for a ‘Stratford’ style property.

A ‘Canterbury’ show home, dressed to impress by a team of professional interior designers, is due to open in July.

The ‘Canterbury’, with its traditional bay window, is a prime example of why this style of home has stood the test of time.

It’s a substantial property with a real sense of flow. Double doors leading from the lounge to the open plan kitchen and dining room mean the progression from sofa to dining table is a natural one. And with a dedicated study at the front of the property, children can complete homework assignments and parents can work from home without distraction.

Upstairs, the family bathroom and en-suite to master bedroom boast quality fixtures and fittings plus an exclusive tile range.

Ahead of the show home opening, potential purchasers are being encouraged to visit Redrow developments elsewhere in Lancashire, including the show village at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley, or to watch the extensive video footage online at Redrow.TV.

“We have found that more and more house hunters are researching the local housing market online before viewing a property. With that in mind our online television channel Redrow.TV is a great marketing tool as it enables customers to experience all that a Redrow home has to offer with show home videos. It means they don’t have to wait for the show home at Old Gate Park to open. Instead they can take a virtual tour of properties from all over the country from the comfort of their home, office or wherever they access the internet,” Lesley explained.

As well as show home tours and development films, Redrow.TV also includes buying guides and footage of customers talking about their new homes.

To find out more about the homes available at Old Gate Park, visit the marketing suite, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
