Rafting on the Dordogne

Dordogne Experience has recently been taken over by Rowena and Jon Earney, previously teachers in the UK, and to celebrate they are offering 10% off all rafting holidays booked in May.

The rafting holiday is a fun and unique way of experiencing the beautiful Dordogne river. No deadlines, itineraries or to-do-lists – Your holiday starts at Argentat, a lovely medieval riverside town, and finishes wherever you want it to.

You can take your time and 'go with the flow' - Paddle through the stunning gorges, stop for lunch in beautiful medieval towns such as Beaulieu-Sur-Dordogne and Carennac, sleep under the stars or in any of our suggested camp sites.

The pricing is simple, one week usually costs £129 per person and two weeks is £199. For booking in May you will pay £116 per person for a week or £179 for two weeks. This price will get you a raft, a two person tent, sleeping mats, a gas stove and a map of the river with interesting places, campsites and towns marked.

At the end of the week, you will be picked up from wherever you have got to and brought back to your car or dropped off at a bus or train station. Pick up and drop offs from airports can arranged (Ryanair fly to Limoges and Cityjet fly to Brive).

To take up this offer, please contact Dordogne Experience via email rowena@dordogneexperience.com / jon@dordogneexperience.com with the number of people, the ages and swimming ability of any children, starting date, and length of holiday.

Dordogne Experience also offer self guided walking and cycling holidays in the South of France.
