Weston Homes highly commended at new homes event

Essex-based property developer Weston Homes has been highly commended at The London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2011 in the Best New Starter Home (large developers) category for Hawkins Wharf, Essex, and the Best New Family Home (with up to three bedrooms) category for Swale Park, Kent.

Weston Homes were highly commended in the Best New Starter Home (large developers) category for Hawkins Wharf, Colchester, its luxury mixed-use development which, when complete, will comprise 221 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and seven, three/four bedroom townhouses as well as commercial and retail space. The award recognises the demand for homes that cater for people on the threshold of the property ladder.

Weston Homes were also highly commended for Best New Family Home (with up to three bedrooms) for Swale Park, Whitstable, its idyllic development located on Thanet Way on the outskirts of Whitstable, between the sea and the Kent countryside, which will comprise of 236 modern, stylish homes when complete. The award is for family homes located in attractive settings, which have personality as well as being fully functional and finished to a high specification.

Bob Weston, Chairman and Chief Executive of Weston Homes, commented: “I am delighted that we have been highly commended for Hawkins Wharf for Best New Starter Home (large developers) and Swale Park in the New Family Home (with up to three bedrooms) category. The London Evening Standard New Homes Awards, in their 20th year, celebrate the highest standards of skill, design and craftsmanship in today’s new homes and reflect the diversity of the property market in London and the South East. The awards were presented at The Dorchester Hotel in London on 13th May 2011.
