Part exchange at Dukes Meadow proves a 'wheelie' good idea!

Many people spend months, even years searching for their perfect new home, but one Waterlooville couple found their dream home first time.
Donna and Gerald Mathers decided that a new house would be a great investment and had only just decided to start looking for a new home when they paid a visit to Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties’ Dukes Meadow development. Here they found the house they’d always wanted – and by part exchanging, also found moving easier than they’d first thought!
Donna said: “When most of our children had moved out we decided we liked the idea of a new home, but instead of buying something smaller, we thought we would buy as an investment and upsize. We hadn’t even started a serious search for a new home when we stumbled across Dukes Meadow. There we saw the fantastic range of townhouses on offer and instantly fell in love! Gerald and I had lived in the town when we were first married and always wanted a townhouse of our own as they are so versatile so were thrilled at the idea of living in one.”
The couple chose a four bedroom Southwick and to ensure no one snapped it up before them, they used Taylor Wimpey’s popular Part Exchange* scheme to secure their dream home.
Donna adds: “We were determined to purchase the Southwick style home at the development so when we found out we could part exchange our old house we jumped at the chance. It meant we didn’t have the fuss of putting our home on the market as Taylor Wimpey acted as the cash buyer. The sales staff at Dukes Meadow were also really helpful and made moving into our new home a breeze. We love the extra space living in a three storey home provides – we particularly enjoy the separate dining room as we often have dinner parties and friends and family over.”
Not only did Donna and Gerald take advantage of the Part Exchange* scheme at Dukes Meadow, but also the ‘bicycle scheme’ on offer at the eco-friendly development.
Gerald said: “When we moved in we were given Taylor Wimpey information pack about the local area which also included a £50 bicycle voucher for Halfords. We decided that it would be a great idea and bought our new bikes shortly after moving in. We’re enjoying our new hobby and looking forward to going for more bike-rides during the Summer months.”
Sarah Pasco, regional sales director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We’re delighted that Donna and Gerald were able to find the home they’ve always wanted here at Dukes Meadow and it’s fantastic that they’ve also been able to take up a new ‘green’ hobby. The part exchange scheme is perfect for those who are in a position to move but struggling to sell their current home. If this sound like it might be for you, why not pay us a visit and find out more?”
Under the scheme Taylor Wimpey buys your current property taking the stress out of the home buying process and making broken chains a thing of the past. As the housebuilder purchases your home at an agreed price, you don’t have to worry about paying any estate agents fees. This gives you extra money to spend on the more important things, like furnishing your new home!
Sarah adds: “Being stuck in a home that you’ve grown out of but can’t sell can be a nightmare which is why part exchange can provide such an effective solution. There’s no need for your house to sit on the market for months on end as we’ll buy it off you. This leaves the way clear for you to move straight into your new home – on some occasions in as little as 28 days!”
