Friends and family were treated to a free world tour at Mead Community Primary School and Taylor Wimpey’s Hawkescroft development in Trowbridge at the weekend.

The international festival, organized by Friends of Mead School, arranged for 20 tents to be erected around the school, with one at Taylor Wimpey’s Hawkescroft development next door. Each tent represented a different country and was offering free food tasters and craft workshops relating to their individual country.

The sales consultants at Taylor Wimpey turned the sales office into Australia by decorating the office with inflatable animals such as snakes and kangaroos and they even offered families traditional Australian delicacy - Vegemite.

Friends of Mead School Chairman, Melanie Jacob, said that the event was a huge success. “Everyone really enjoyed the International Festival. We had a lot of families attend and they loved going round the different countries and learning new facts about each of them. The sales consultants at Taylor Wimpey did a fantastic job of decorating the sales office and everyone had a taste of the vegemite!”

Following the international theme, Taylor Wimpey provided passports for all the children to take to each country they visited and have it stamped along the way.

Richard Goad, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Bristol, said “We were thrilled to be involved in such a popular day within the Trowbridge community. We are really keen to work closely with the schools and communities in the areas in which we build and we enjoyed creating Australia in our sales office at Hawkescroft.”

Hawkescroft is a development of two and three bedroom homes located in the popular residential suburb of Hilperton on the eastern side of Trowbridge. Given its semi-rural location on the edge of the attractive country town of Trowbridge, Hawkescroft is ideally suited for those wanting a well-connected location within easy reach of local amenities, but without the hustle and bustle of a larger town or city.
