'Live your life not your diet' with the Bite Plan from Slimavite

1st June 2011 Print

An effective and easy to follow new weight loss plan has been launched, which promises to help slimmers lose weight while living their life, not their diet.

The unique new Bite Plan from Slimavite gives slimmers all the tools and support they need to reach their individual goals and to maintain a healthy weight for life.

With the Bite Plan, the science has been done for you. It is based on foods being broken down into ‘Bites’, each being around 200 calories. These act as the building blocks for a nutritionally balanced day.

Slimavite slimmers have access to clever Bite tools via a special online member’s area, helping them keep focused and motivated.

Each member gets a Personal Dashboard that visually brings to life their weight loss journey, as it plots their weight losses on a graph. It also provides useful statistics and information about BMI and tracks against target, such as clothes size and personal weight loss goals.

The unique Bite Builder tool helps slimmer to create a balanced plate of food with the right amount of protein, carbohydrate, vegetables and salad. They simply fill in the quantity of different foods they are planning to include in their meals, and it will be given as a Bites total. This allows slimmers to see what’s in their meal and whether they need to adjust things such as portion sizes, to create a perfectly balanced meal.

The balanced meals are complemented each day by tasty Slimavite Shakes. Available in three delicious flavours – Heavenly Chocolate, Strawberry Desire and Vanilla Dream - the shakes are low GI of just 34 and gradually release energy throughout the day. They are high in fibre, protein and calcium as well as Omega 3 and natural prebiotics and contain a perfectly balanced amount of vitamins and minerals. It will help naturally reduce hunger pangs throughout the day.

Enabling slimmers to enjoy a little of what they fancy, the Sin Bites help slimmers work out how much of each treat equates to 200 calories, the same as a shake or a Bite. Sinful foods are those with little nutritional content but lots of calories, such as biscuits, cakes and alcohol.

Slimavite also encourage slimmers to start thinking about introducing some physical activity into their everyday routines. The Bite Burner tool helps slimmers see what benefit they can get from different activity, as well as everyday tasks, such as walking, gardening and even cleaning the house, which all burn Bites.

The active Slimavite blog, Twitter and Facebook pages all allow slimmers to be interactive and encourage them to share their own experiences, while supporting and inspiring others.

Getting the right support, alongside an eating plan that fits with ‘living your life’, is key to the Bite Plan philosophy.
