Artwork unveiled at High Wycombe property development

Taylor Wimpey has officially revealed an impressive sculpture as the centrepiece of its Kingshill Grange development of property for sale in High Wycombe.
A stunning public work of art by renowned sculptor Peter Randall-Page has been unveiled at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingshill Grange development of new homes in High Wycombe, the culmination of an inspirational community project.
Entitled ‘Grove’, the sculpture began life as a six-tonne granite boulder, which was imported from Finland and intricately carved, before being installed within a circle of pleached hornbeam trees planted by Highworth County Combined School pupils in the public open space at the entrance to the development of property in High Wycombe.
Students from Highworth County Combined School and the Royal Grammar School have both been involved in art projects organised by Peter Randall-Page and were among the guests who attended the official unveiling at Kingshill Grange on Saturday, along with residents, county and district councillors.
Wycombe District Councillor Tony Green cut the ribbon to officially unveil the sculpture at the development of apartments and houses for sale in High Wycombe, and gave a speech at the ceremony.
There were also speeches from Taylor Wimpey’s Regional Managing Director Andrew Sturla and Peter Randall-Page, and the guests all enjoyed a barbecue and refreshments to celebrate the occasion.
Andrew Sturla commented: “The unveiling of this superb new piece of public artwork was a landmark event for Kingshill Grange, bringing together representatives from the whole community to mark the culmination of this outstanding project.
“The sculpture provides a visually stunning centrepiece for the development reflecting the beautiful setting surrounded by trees and green open space. This timeless masterpiece will provide a lasting legacy for the residents at Kingshill Grange and the wider community to enjoy.”
