With a wealth of experience in the building trade, Steve Paine has given Taylor Wimpey the professional thumbs up to their brand new properties in Basingstoke.

Steve and his partner Nikki Ballam bought their first home together at Taylor Wimpey’s Everest Park development of new homes for sale in Basingstoke, and were hugely impressed by its quality – right down to the finest details.

“I work as a surveyor for a housing maintenance company, and before that spent seven years as a carpenter, so I know enough about houses to be able to judge the quality of the build,” says Steve (25).

“I’ve been very impressed with the standard and finish of the building at Everest Park.”

The young couple are delighted with the three-bedroom ‘Hindscarth’ townhouse they purchased, having received a glowing recommendation about life in a new Taylor Wimpey property in Basingstoke from Steve’s brother, Michael.

Steve says: “Michael bought a home at the Bramley Green development of new homes near Basingstoke, which is now sold out.

“He was really happy with his home and we liked it too, so we had a drive around the area looking at number of new developments from different housebuilders and found that Taylor Wimpey’s Basingstoke homes for sale offered us everything we wanted.

“The new homes at Everest Park were the best in terms of value for money, and we liked the fact the properties are well spaced out, whereas some of the other developments tend to pack the houses in.

“We really love our new place, which is a good size and has a great master bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the top floor. Plus, it came with two parking spaces, which was an advantage because a lot of other new home developments in Basingstoke would only provide one space with their three-bedroom homes.”

As first-time buyers of a new house in Basingstoke, Steve and Nikki (25), a deputy manager at a local children’s nursery, were grateful to receive help from Taylor Wimpey to purchase their home through the Gifted Deposit scheme, which sees buyers handed 5% towards the cost of selected properties as a free gift.

Alternatively, the easystart shared equity initiative allows qualifying purchasers to own selected brand new properties at Everest Park now for just 85% of the full price.

Subject to status, a deposit of 5% is all that’s required, and Taylor Wimpey will provide 15% equity in the form of an interest-free loan, which can be repaid in up to three instalments over a 10-year period. Full details, terms and conditions of all incentives on Everest Park new properties are available from the Sales Executive.

The three-bedroom ‘Hindscarth’ is currently available at the Basingstoke property development with an easystart price of just £195,496*, while full prices for three-bedroom houses start at only £229,995 and four-bedroom designs are priced from just £259,995.

All new homes at the development include a garage and/or allocated parking, and each property is completed to a high standard specification with double glazing, central heating and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

As its name suggests, Everest Park offers homes at the peak of Basingstoke property design, and enjoys a popular location on the northern fringes of the town, bordered by beautiful countryside to the north and just over two miles from the centre.

Basingstoke is home to bustling modern shops, good schools and exciting leisure activities, while its Festival Place shopping centre is ranked in the UK's top 10 biggest and best, with 165 stores and 29 restaurants, bars and cafes.

The town is also home to music venues, a choice of multi-screen cinemas, tennis courts, a leisure park, sports clubs, an ice rink, a swimming pool and bowling alleys.
For commuters looking for a well-placed property, Basingstoke station is only a mile from the new homes, from which London Waterloo Station is just a 45-minute journey by rail, and the M3 is just three miles away.

To find out more about the selection of new homes available now at Everest Park, property-seekers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located at 21 John Hunt Drive, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 9TE, and open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
