Taylor Wimpey is inviting families to take part in a historical weekend to celebrate the launch of its new 1887 development which includes the unique Helena show home in Swindon, Wiltshire.

On Saturday July 2nd at 12.30pm, Taylor Wimpey is cutting the ribbon to its new development and is hosting a Victorian themed party to celebrate. In memory of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, visitors will be able to enjoy a Victorian high tea, while being entertained by professional stilt walkers and jugglers.

Chris Ashmore, regional sales and marketing director said “This event is an excellent opportunity for visitors to have a first look at our stunning new Helena show home and see for themselves the quality of our homes. Our 1887 development was built on the grounds of an old Victorian hospital. The properties here have been designed to sympathise with the heritage of the site.

“As we have a number of houses unique to the development meaning we’re creating something with real character.”

Available to view on the day is the unique three bedroom, Helena show property. This stunning property contains a large open plan kitchen/diner and a spacious living room that features a large bay window. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a bay window and a large en suite with a double shower and two further good size bedrooms with a family bathroom.

The development has a range of properties including two bedroom coach houses, and two bedroom bungalows.

Situated between Taylor Wimpey’s existing developments Goddard Mews and Royal Mead, 1887 is ideally located for a cosmopolitan lifestyle with a choice of wine bars, restaurants and street cafes just a short walk away. Good local schools are close by and private schooling can be found in nearby Marlborough. Swindon is ideally located for commuting into London and other UK towns either by rail or road.
