The nation’s largest independent housebuilder, Miller Homes, is celebrating success as five of its site managers in the North West Region achieved Quality Awards in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job competition.

Site managers:

Bill Hughes for Whittle-le-Park in Buckshaw Village
Tony Preece for Birkacre Park in Chorley
Harry Dainton for Millers Green in Heysham
Ian Lively for Woodland Park in Darwen
Jonathan Jewell for Connaught Green in Anfield, Liverpool

All were recognised in the first round of the NHBC’s annual awards campaign, which celebrates the fantastic work carried out by site managers across the country.

26 Miller Homes site managers from around the UK won Quality Awards, the highest number the company has achieved to date. This is the fourth consecutive increase of Quality Award Winners for Miller Homes. The first round of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards sees 400 site managers acknowledged for their services to quality and excellence in house building.

Steve Birch, managing director for Miller Homes in the North West region, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to see that our site managers have been so successful in this year’s Pride in the Job Awards. We pride ourselves on the quality of our homes and without such fantastic site managers, we wouldn’t be able to deliver such high quality products for our customers.”

Chris Endsor, operations director for Miller Homes, said: “This is the 4th year in a row that we have consistently improved on the previous year’s results, which is a real credit to all those who will be presented with a Quality Award, and recognition of all the hard work that is carried out by our teams across the country to continually raise our standards.”

The Quality Award winning site managers now go through to the next round of the competition, where just 130 of the 400 recognised will win Seal of Excellence awards.

Bill Hughes and Tony Preece already hold many NHBC accolades. Bill has won the ultimate Supreme Award no less than four times. Tony Preece won a Seal of Excellence in 2009 and 2010. The real winners in the competition are the new home buyers, for they can be reassured their home is built to the highest standards and by the best in the industry.

Bill’s Development is Whittle-le-Park in Buckshaw Village and Tony's development, Miller Homes' Birkacre Park in Chorley. They both invite the closest of inspection from home buyers. Birkacre Park offers a choice of 3 and 4-bedroom family homes priced from £149,950, whilst Whittle-le-Park offers 2-bed apartments plus 4 and 5 family homes.

Customer satisfaction goes beyond the build quality at Miler Homes. They also offer their own brand of incentives, MiWay and MiSwap. MiWay is an equity loan scheme that allows home buyers to own 100% of their new home, but could pay from just 85% of the price now. MiSwap is a unique home exchange scheme that allows Miller Homes buyers to trade their old home whether it is worth more, the same or less than the Miller Home they wish to buy.

Full details are available from the marketing suites. Birkacre Park is located on Lower Burgh Way, Chorley PR7 3TA. Whittle-le-Park is off Central Avenue, Buckshaw Village, Euxton, Chorley, PR7 7AQ.  They are open Thursday to Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm.
