Final chance to buy at historic Farnborough Central

Just two Hawker townhouses remain for sale

Only two opportunities remain to buy a family-sized townhouse at Farnborough Central and become part of a unique new community.

With a truly historic location on part of the world-famous former Royal Aircraft Establishment, award-winning Redrow is building homes for modern lifestyles. They offer the convenience of being close to town and within commuting distance to London, but with an affordable price tag.

Although a range of apartments will still be available, only two townhouses remain on the market following a flurry of recent sales. The modern designs features some stylish art deco touches as a nod to the site’s aeronautical past.

The spacious four-bedroom ‘Hawker’ homes are ideal for families in search of more room. Designed over three floors, the Hawker features a stylish open-plan lounge and dining room with patio doors on to the rear garden, separate kitchen and convenient downstairs cloaks on the ground floor. Upstairs is a master bedroom with en-suite and a fourth bedroom and on the top floor is a second bedroom with en-suite, third double bedroom and a family bathroom.

Tonia Tyler, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said:
“With their historic location and art-deco influenced modern designs, our townhouses will appeal to buyers looking for something special from their new home. We’ve enjoyed a great sales rate of late, so we would urge buyers to act quickly if they want to purchase a house here.”

Each new home is fitted out with Redrow’s high interior specification, including contemporary kitchens, with floor to ceiling units and top name appliances, and sleek bathroom suites. They also have all the benefits associated with being brand new including easy maintenance, energy efficiency and no need for costly repairs or renovation.

Much of the site’s rich heritage is being preserved for future generations. Redrow’s homes are adjacent to the ‘heritage quarter’ and alongside two of the most interesting aeronautical legacies of the former RAE – a pair of Grade I listed wind tunnel buildings. The largest, a 24 ft wind tunnel, was used to test full-sized aircraft prototypes, while the transonic wind tunnel was used to test aircraft including Concorde.

The final two Hawkers are priced at £264,950 and £269,950 respectively. A range of one and two-bedroom apartments are also available priced from £149,950.

Redrow has a number of tailor-made incentives designed to help homebuyers, including part exchange for those who need to sell up before moving on. If Redrow customers choose this option then they don’t have the potential hassle that comes with finding a buyer, as Redrow will act as cash buyer for their existing home. In many cases they will receive an offer on their house in less than seven days and they won’t have to worry about estate agent’s fees or getting stuck in a complicated housing chain.

The new homes at Farnborough Central are conveniently situated next to IQ Farnborough, a vibrant business park with offices, a café, crèche, heritage centre and a four-star hotel and leisure complex.

With journey times from Farnborough mainline station to London Waterloo of less than 45 minutes, it’s the ideal place for commuters to call home.

To be part of the new community at Farnborough Central visit the sales and marketing suite off Fowler Lane, open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
