Help at hand to purchase new property in Aylesbury

Buckinghamshire property-seekers can get help from Taylor Wimpey to purchase a new home at New Berry Vale, the leading housebuilder’s sought-after development of houses for sale in Aylesbury – just like homebuyers Nick Giles and Natasha Homes.
With many mortgage lenders demanding large deposits from first-time buyers, Nick Giles and Natasha Homes feared they would miss out on their dream of owning a new property in Aylesbury by the time their first child was born.
But, after finding out about Taylor Wimpey’s easystart shared equity scheme at the leading housebuilder’s New Berry Vale development of houses to buy in Aylesbury, the young couple managed to buy their first home in time for the arrival of daughter Ava.
“Without easystart, I think we’d still be looking for a place to buy now,” says proud dad Nick (22), reflecting on the decision to visit the development of property for sale in Aylesbury.
“With busy jobs and a baby on the way, the last thing we wanted was to worry about being able to afford a new home. With the mortgage market the way it is, we had to consider renting somewhere, but we knew that was just dead money.
“But, as I was living at my parents’ house a couple of minutes down the road from New Berry Vale, I thought I’d pop in and see if there was any chance of us buying there. Thanks to easystart, we are now in a home that’s 100% ours, not a landlord’s – and it’s one that we love to pieces!
“The whole buying process was totally stress-free too, which we really appreciated. The Sales Executive Nikki kept us informed of what was happening as the sale went through, which helped us to relax.”
Nick, Natasha and baby Ava settled into their two-bedroom ‘Brenig’ coach house-style apartment in April. Their home includes a spacious lounge/diner with open-plan kitchen, an en-suite master bedroom, a well-proportioned second bedroom and a bathroom, plus a garage and additional private parking outside.
“We are really enjoying having our own space,” says Nick.
“We love the open-plan lounge and kitchen, and the rooms are all a really good size – when we compared what we have with similar priced properties on the market, we realised we were getting real value for money with the ‘Brenig’.”
Nick, a mechanic at Aylesbury Audi, and Natasha (27) a nursery nurse at Aylesbury College, have also been impressed with the way the expanding community of New Berry Vale is taking shape.
“The new Aylesbury Parkway railway station is a short walk away, and it takes about five minutes to get into town by car or bus. But, the location is also nice and peaceful as it’s on the edge of the town, so we’ve got the countryside on our doorstep as well.
“There are also going to be two primary schools built in the area, which will be perfect for Ava, and there are plans for shops and a gym, which is excellent news.”
Nick’s not the only member of the Giles family enjoying life at New Berry Vale – his sister Alex and her partner Jamie Adams have also set up home at the sought-after development.
Nick says: “When they found out we were moving here, Alex and Jamie looked into it and were so impressed they bought a Taylor Wimpey home around the corner from us!”
First-time buyers like Natasha and Nick can take advantage of Taylor Wimpey’s easystart shared equity scheme when purchasing selected new homes at New Berry Vale. This popular incentive allows qualifying purchasers to own a brand new home now for just 85% of the full price, with only a 5% deposit required, subject to status.
The remaining 15% equity is provided by Taylor Wimpey in the form of an interest-free loan which can be repaid in up to three instalments over a 10-year period. Full details and terms and conditions are available from the Sales Executive.
Two-bedroom apartments are available with easystart from only £127,500 at New Berry Vale while three-bedroom houses are priced from as little as £220,000 and four-bedroom properties from only £279,995.
New Berry Vale is the opening phase of the stunning new Berryfields community. Bordered by picturesque countryside, yet within easy reach of the town centre, it will comprise exceptional community facilities and employment opportunities alongside more than 3,000 homes.
