Homebuyers settle on their ideal property in Andover

Experienced movers Stuart and Jo Ager couldn’t be happier with their new homes at The Romans at Augusta Park, Taylor Wimpey’s popular development of property for sale in Andover.
Having lived at 29 different addresses during their married life, Stuart and Jo Ager know a thing or two about moving house.
So when they give a glowing report to their brand new Taylor Wimpey home at The Romans at Augusta Park development of houses for sale in Andover, you can be confident their comments are based on experience!
For example, the couple are already noticing reduced heating bills since moving into their new energy-efficient four-bedroom detached property in Andover ready for one of the coldest winters in recent times. And this summer’s heat wave hasn’t troubled them either.
“We’ve lived in a variety of house types over the years, and I would say there have been considerable advances in the standards of insulation,” explains Stuart. “Our new house stays cool in the summer, warm in the winter and it’s much quieter than previous houses. We have a portable air conditioning system for hot days, and we haven’t switched it on yet.”
The choice of location for Stuart and Jo’s new home was based on a combination of work and leisure requirements, enabling them to travel within Europe easily for both business and pleasure. Stuart (69), who runs a training and consultancy business and Jo (65), who is company secretary, now enjoy easy access from the development of new homes in Andover where they live to the south coast ports, Southampton airport, and Heathrow and Gatwick.
Good-value prices, the layout of the development and its pocket parks and green open spaces were all also key to helping the couple to choose this popular collection of apartments and houses to buy in Andover.
The couple reserved their new house at the same time as their daughter, Kerry, who also purchased a property at The Romans.
Kerry’s new home was ready in May last year, and so once Stuart and Jo’s former home in Oxfordshire was sold, they stayed with their daughter and could watch as their new place was built.
Stuart explains: “Our new home was originally forecast to be ready in December or January, but this was brought forward and we moved in October. The whole process was seamless and the Sales Executives were extremely helpful and very responsive to any queries.”
The couple are delighted with their new ‘Sturton’ home, in particular with the well-proportioned bedrooms and the spacious kitchen/dining room, which is ideal for everyday living and entertaining. They also like the size of the garden, which they are finding much more manageable than the grounds of their old house in the countryside.
“All in all we’re very pleased with our new home,” concludes Stuart. “It’s exactly as I hoped it would be.”
