Triplemoto revs up its new bike hire and touring service

Two of the market’s latest top range iconic motorcycle models have been chosen to spearhead the launch hire fleet of East Anglia’s first premium motorcycle rental and tours operator.  Triplemoto, based in Bury St. Edmunds, will offer a number of British-built Triumph Tiger 800 and Tiger 1050 touring models alongside a select few BMW S1000RR superbikes, derived from its highly successful track racers.

The company’s new interactive website is live today at triplemoto.com where bookings, rider details, insurance particulars and other requirements can be entered securely online, linked to the company’s terms and conditions.  Triplemoto has been developing the service for about a year, including negotiating specially tailored insurance arrangements.  It is also working on a UK based tours programme for 2012.

Following a soft launch a few months ago, it has added a range of special extras packages and features, including meet and greet shuttle services from nearby Bury St. Edmunds rail station and Stansted Airport – and local hotel stopovers and handover deals.  Triplemoto believes that its Bury St Edmunds location is ideal also for continental visitors arriving into the UK via the east coast ports.

Triplemoto Director, Terry Drew says, “We are the first motorcycle rental and tours company in East Anglia – and whilst we may not be the first in the UK, we aspire to be different and the best.  That is why we have added additional services during the period of our soft launch.  We are also working with dealers to offer the opportunity – and benefit of a Triplemoto ‘tribuy’ package.  One of the biggest issues for motorcycle buyers is that the purchase decision has to be based on showroom viewing and a quick run around the block.  If you are spending anything between £8000 and £15,000 on one of today’s serious advanced machines, you really want to live with it over a long weekend – and our service will enable the discerning rider to do just that.”

Triumph’s latest Tiger 800 and 1050 models are as at home in the city as they are on the open road – where their outstanding handling and ultra manoeuvrability really come into their own.  Both models combine classic touring design with iconic Triumph style – a sporting chassis, adjustable forks, 17” wheels, a comfortable seat and a commanding, upright riding position.  The legendary triple cylinder engine provides lots of power and torque – with the bigger 1050cc model developing 115PS and 98 Nm of torque at 6250 rpm from the legendary triple cylinder engine.  Both bikes have excellent range between fuel stops and good load carrying capacity.

The BMW S1000RR features an aluminium bridge, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance systems. This includes the first genuine racing ABS and dynamic traction control (DTC) which permits varying degrees of slip, depending on the lean angle.  This enables the rider to keep the level of power easily under control. The engine, which BMW describes as its ‘absolute pride and joy’, develops a massive 193 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, which makes for perfectly matched rideability for both performance and touring.
