Orwell Grange opens this weekend

House buyers in rural Oxfordshire keen to snap up a modern home in a village location will be pleased to learn Taylor Wimpey is officially opening Orwell Grange in Sutton Courtenay this weekend (July 23 and 24).

Sutton Courtenay is steeped in history. Orwell Grange takes its name from George Orwell, the famous author of the novels Animal Farm and 1984, who is buried in the churchyard. This is just one of this tiny village’s claims to fame.

Sutton Courtenay is a civil parish of Oxford and is situated on the banks of the River Thames, two miles south of Abingdon. It has great transport links being just three miles from the A34 and 12 miles from the M40 meaning commuters can be in London or Birmingham in less than an hour. Didcott Parkway railway station is 2.5 miles from the village offering mainline services and connections.

Sutton Courtenay has its own C of E primary school and there is a post office and a village shop. There are major supermarket chains and shopping centres within five miles of the development – ideal for the weekly shop.
