Wildberry Way is a sell-out success

Only 16 months after it launched, Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties’ Wildberry Way development in Whiteley has sold out, proving there is still a demand for high quality new housing in the area.
House hunters looking to move to the area didn’t hesitate to snap up the sought-after homes at Wildberry Way. The two, three and four bedroom homes and two bedroom apartments proved a resounding success; testament to Taylor Wimpey’s commitment to building stylish developments in desirable locations.
Sarah Pasco, regional sales director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “It’s fantastic to see these homes met with such enthusiasm, and for them to sell out in this short period of time is incredible! We knew Wildberry Way would prove popular because Whiteley is such a great place to live, and we are extremely glad to have been able to help people move into their dream homes here.
“It is only a shame we didn’t have more homes to meet the overwhelming demand, but as we have several other developments close by offering a fantastic range of properies, we’re confident no one will be too disappointed with such great choice elsewhere.”
Other Taylor Wimpey developments nearby include Austen Court in Hilsea, Scholars Walk in Portsmouth, Alver Village in Gosport, and Wellington Park at Dukes Meadow in Waterlooville. These homes are all being built to the high standards the housebuilder is renowned for.
To help first time buyers secure their dream home at any one of these developments Taylor Wimpey offers a collection of schemes*, available on selected plots, to make the move onto the property ladder a reality. FirstBuy, which was unveiled in the Chancellor’s Budget earlier this year, supports first time buyers who could not otherwise afford to buy because of the large deposits now required by mortgage lenders.
FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the 25 year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earning should be less than £60,000.
