The Aletsch Glacier

Walks Worldwide has a great trek to Switzerland entitled Aletsch Glacier (Europe’s longest and largest glacier). It flows from the southern slopes of Jungfraujoch, just beneath the Eiger, and spreads over an enormous area towards the Valais.

This is one of the most scenic areas in all of Switzerland and the sweeping views of the mighty glacier from the summit of Eggishorn (2878m) are simply breathtaking. Graded as B/C (moderate to demanding) the trip can commence any day of the week and costs from £1095 pp (two sharing).

This includes 7 nights’ B&B (plus 4 dinners), luggage transfers, route notes, maps and bus transfer from Mund to Brig.
