Enjoy a swift move to a new property in High Wycombe

Sara and Stuart Hepburn put their property market problems behind them by taking advantage of Part Exchange at Taylor Wimpey’s Kingshill Grange development of property for sale in High Wycombe.
With a house to sell and the search for a new home dragging on, the Hepburns were delighted to discover Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange offer at Kingshill Grange development of new homes in High Wycombe.
Sara and Stuart put their house on the market in 2010, and had spent the best part of a year looking for a new family home, without much luck.
“We were struggling to find the right house,” says Sara. “If I liked one, Stuart didn’t or if he did, I didn’t, so we weren’t getting very far. Plus, we hadn’t found a buyer for our own home, so things weren’t moving very quickly.
“After hearing about Kingshill Grange, we decided to visit the development of houses and apartments in High Wycombe, thinking it would be just another place to discount from our search – but, how wrong we were!”
The couple took a tour of the ‘Lacey’ showhome at the sought-after development of houses and flats to buy in High Wycombe, and Sara admits they ‘fell in love’ with the place.
“There was only one ‘Lacey’ left for sale, and so we needed to be able to act quickly to secure it, but thought having our own home would prove to be a stumbling block.
“Fortunately we found that with Taylor Wimpey’s Part Exchange initiative, we could move quickly and easily, without all the heartache that goes with being at the mercy of a property chain.
“So we reserved the ‘Lacey’ there and then, which was lucky as 10 minutes later somebody else arrived planning to do the same thing – we’d just beaten them to it!”
Sara (36), who runs an online recruitment business, and Stuart (39), vice president of HR at a pharmaceutical company in London, plus their children Isobel (7) and Max (6) had just a month to wait until they moved to Kingshill Grange.
“Going from thinking we’d have to wait months and months to move, to finding and living in our dream home so quickly is quite something,” says Sara.
“Everything has gone so smoothly, we haven’t quite been able to believe our luck.”
The ‘Lacey’ has everything the Hepburns wanted, and had felt they would never find in one house.
“The living space is beautiful,” adds Sara. “It’s light and airey and we love the open-plan aspect of the design – it’s clear Taylor Wimpey put a lot of thought into the layout. The finish is also immaculate, which makes a big difference.
“A big selling point for us was having a guest bedroom with its own en suite facilities, which means visitors have a real sense of luxury.
“I also love the split landing upstairs, with our en-suite bedroom and study on one side, and the children having their own rooms the other side, together with the main bathroom and guest room.
“Plus, outside we have a big garden with enough room for Max to kick his football around and bomb around on his bike.”
A selection of new four-bedroom houses is available at Kingshill Grange, with prices starting from only £339,995, while apartments start from as little as £169,995 for a one-bedroom design and just £199,995 for a two-bedroom home.
Situated on the leafy northern outskirts of High Wycombe, Kingshill Grange is in an ideal spot for City commuters looking to escape the hustle and bustle of central London, as well as for young parents in search of a peaceful but well-appointed place to raise their families.
The development enjoys excellent road links to the M40, M25 and the A404, and is just over a mile from High Wycombe railway station, which offers regular services to London Marylebone in less than 40 minutes.
High Wycombe’s town centre has recently undergone a major regeneration, and boasts a wide range of high street and independent shops, plus a wealth of bars, restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities including a theatre, a multi-screen cinema and a bowling alley.
For relaxation, Rye Park offers acres of green space and an outdoor swimming pool, while the charming villages, country pubs and walks of rural Buckinghamshire are just a short distance away.
