The team at Taylor Wimpey North West’s Speakman Gardens development in Prescot has cause for celebration, after a continuous run of strong sales over the last few months has left it the most popular development* in the region.

House hunters looking for a home that offers excellent build quality as well as value for money have been flocking to Speakman Gardens, snapping up the stunning homes on offer. More than 50 homes have been sold at the development since the beginning of the year, with particularly strong selling months from January to March and then during the summer.

Sam Williams, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North West, comments: “Speakman Gardens has always been a popular development, due in part to its excellent location, wide range of homes and competitive prices. However, its recent success has far exceeded our expectations, especially as buyers are still facing a number of hurdles that can make purchasing a new home more difficult.”

In addition to being able to move to a fantastic new home, residents at Speakman Gardens can also take advantage of the extensive range of shops, leisure and community facilities that Prescot provides.

Sam adds: “Prescot itself seems to be enjoying a surge in popularity, and this is reflected by the number of buyers wanting to live at Speakman Gardens. I’m not surprised though as the town is steeped in history, enjoys access to excellent road networks and has a wealth of retail and leisure facilities that the community can enjoy. The prices at Speakman Gardens are also extremely competitive, so buyers can be confident they’re getting a high quality home that offers plenty of space for their money.”

The leading house builder has a range of financial schemes available, designed to help house hunters overcome the hurdles of buying or selling a house. Part exchange** is ideal for those looking to move up the ladder but who are struggling to sell their current home.

Under the scheme, Taylor Wimpey buys your current home at an agreed price, saving you the stress and expense of finding the right buyer. With no need to instruct estate agents, you’ll also be saving money on fees, leaving you with spare cash to spend on the more exciting things like accessorising your new home.

First time buyers needn’t miss out either as the recently launched FirstBuy** scheme is available on selected homes.

The scheme works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earning should be less than £60,000.

Sam concludes: “If you’re stuck in a home you can’t sell, or have had enough of living with mum and dad, then we can help. Why not pay Speakman Gardens a visit and let our experienced sales team talk you through the options available to you? You never know, you could be living here sooner than you think!”

Speakman Gardens comprises a collection of two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes, with prices starting at £98,950, or from as little as £79,160** with FirstBuy. As well as being an ideal base to commute to the whole of the North West, a wide range of amenities are located less than a mile from the development, including Prescot Shopping Centre. Further afield, Liverpool is just eight miles away offering an even wider range of shopping, leisure activities and nightlife.
