And with interest already running high from discerning home-hunters in search of stylish living in a convenient location – aspiring purchasers are being urged to act fast if they want to secure their future at the Everest Park development of new homes in Basingstoke.

Tim Betts, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Home-hunters looking for a fabulous property in Basingstoke are going to want to see these apartments which are tailor-made for 21st century living.

“And because a limited number of these new homes for sale in Hampshire can be secured with the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme, first-time buyers will find living at Everest Park is more accessible than they might think.

“These stunning homes are set to sell out fast, so I have to urge would-be movers to be quick if they want to make this sought-after development of new flats in Basingstoke their new home!”

Among the properties for sale in Basingstoke available at Everest Park with FirstBuy is the one-bedroom ‘Mendip House’ Plot 247 apartment which features a spacious open-plan living/kitchen/dining room, a master bedroom and a main bathroom, plus access to an attractive terrace area and allocated parking.

Under FirstBuy this apartment, priced £117,000, can be secured by qualifying purchasers for just 80% of its full price – that’s only £93,600!

FirstBuy works thanks to a 20% joint loan from Taylor Wimpey and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold – and means first-time buyers may only need a 75% mortgage and 5% deposit to secure their dream apartment, subject to status.

This Government-backed offer is open to qualifying first-time buyers with a household income under £60,000.

Everest Park offers homes at the peak of property design, and enjoys a popular location on the northern fringes of Basingstoke, bordered by beautiful countryside to the north and just over two miles from the town centre.

Basingstoke is home to bustling modern shops, good schools and exciting leisure activities, while its Festival Place shopping centre is ranked in the UK's top 10 biggest and best, with 165 stores and 29 restaurants, bars and cafes.

The town is also home to music venues, a choice of multi-screen cinemas, tennis courts, a leisure park, sports clubs, an ice rink, a swimming pool and bowling alleys.

For commuters, Basingstoke railway station is only a mile from the new homes and offers regular services to London Waterloo in just 45 minutes, while the M3 motorway is only three miles away.
