Don’t know what to do with that lottery win? For £30,930, you could treat yourself to an amazing four week Antarctic experience. This is the last voyage of the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov as well as the 100th anniversary of Scott & Amundsen’s Antarctic exploration.

This voyage commemorates 1911. In January, Robert Falcon Scott and the members of his expedition anchored off Ross Island in the Ross Sea; his intention was to be the first person to reach the South Pole. By December, the single most important goal of Antarctic exploration had been achieved by Roald Amundsen from his base camp in the Bay of Whales. The Norwegian reached the South Pole on December 14th, 1911, just one month ahead of Scott.

Departs 09 November. Price includes 27 nights on board ship including full board, 1 night’s b&b in Christchurch and the services of experienced expedition guides. International flight prices on request.
