Are you a house hunter struggling to make the move onto or up the property ladder? Well help is at hand as Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties has the solution at its popular Quakers Walk development in Devizes.

The leading house builder is offering both its Part Exchange and FirstBuy schemes* at Quakers Walk, meaning house buyers in the region can turn their dreams of a new home into a reality.

Sarah Pasco, regional sales director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We understand that house hunters are finding it difficult to save up for a desposit on their first home, while upsizers often struggle to sell their current property. This is why our financial schemes can be incredibly beneficial for house buyers who are experiencing these problems.

“For instance, it can take years to save for a desposit, but as first time buyers only need a 5% deposit to buy their first home using FirstBuy, the scheme is making it much easier and more affordable for them to get a foot on the property ladder.”

FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage. The loan is repayable at the end of the mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first time buyers and the total household earning should be less than £60,000.

Sarah continues: “First time buyers aren’t the only ones with home buying problems – some people are struggling to sell their current property, which is where part exchange comes in. It provides a fantastic solution to your home sale problems as we act as the cash buyer, saving you the time and hassle of finding one, which in turn leaves you free to move into your new home as soon as it’s ready.

“So if you think you’re destined to be stuck in your current home forever then don’t despair, head down to Quakers Walk to find out more!”

Under the Part Exchange scheme, the house builder buys your current home at an agreed price, saving you the stress and expense of finding the right buyer. With no need to instruct estate agents, you’ll also be saving money on fees, leaving you with spare cash to spend on the more exciting things like furnishing your new home. Plus, with no chain to maintain, your move can be arranged so you’re in the property in next to no time.

Quakers Walk is located to the north east of Devizes, just a short distance from the town centre and will provide a fantastic selection of properties suitable for young professionals, investors, downsizers and growing families. For commuters Quakers Walk is conveniently accessible from London or Heathrow Airport by using the M4.

There is currently a range of two bedroom terraced, three bedroom detached and semi-detached and four and five bedroom detached houses available at Quakers Walk, with prices starting from £126,933**.
