Just three hours from the UK, Morocco is one of the most scenically diverse and culturally fascinating destinations in the world. Fleewinter, which tailor-makes trips with personalised electronic itineraries for every booking, has created the perfect way in which to maximise a two-week holiday to this short haul destination which possesses a distinctly long haul feel.

The itinerary commences in Marrakech with accommodation in one of Fleewinter's Medina riads for three nights (from a choice of over 30) to enjoy the hustle and bustle of this colourful and ancient city.

A personal driver will then collect you to drive over the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and down to the world heritage site of Ait ben Haddou, to spend a night at the beautiful Kasbah Ellouze.

From there, it’s into the desert at M'hamid for a camel trek to a bivouac (desert camp) with nomad guides to overnight.

Next up is a 4x4 driver across the dry Lake Iriqi and into the massive dunes of Chegaga for a second night under canvas. In the desert the guides will introduce you to the nomad way of life; e.g. baking bread in the sand and providing music in the evenings.

Leaving the desert, it’s a drive down to the coast stopping for a night at the walled town of Taroudant, staying in Dar Zitoune.

From there, the next stop is the former Portuguese fishing port of Essaouira, on the Atlantic coast, for five nights to enjoy the beach, restaurants and souks. Accommodation on the coast is in the village of Sidi Kaouki, staying at Rebali Riads, the newest and smartest boutique hotel in Morocco.

The final two nights will be spent at the recently opened Kasbah Angour, on the edge of the High Atlas, to walk in the mountains, enjoying the views, with the option of popping back to Marrakech (just 30 minutes away) for some last minute shopping.

The holiday costs from £995 pp (two sharing) and includes all accommodation on a B&B basis (plus dinner for the night at Kasbah Ellouze and both nights spent under canvas) and all transportation in a private air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking driver.

Fully-bonded for financial protection, Fleewinter can also book flights on request.
