Apostles Victoria

Australia, Voluntourism: The 12 Apostles are the main site in this area and are part of the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. Visitors looking for an authentic experience can volunteer for a week at the Cape Otway Centre for Conservation Ecology to get even closer to the real Australia.

The centre practices conservation of endangered species including Koalas and Tiger Quolls. Volunteers assist in cataloging where the koalas live and how they behave, perfect for animal lovers as you can get as close as one metre to the Koalas.

Argentina: Perito Moreno Glacier
Holidaymakers looking for a real adventure should travel to Patagonia, Argentina to tour the Los Glaciares National Park.

Starting in the town or El Calafate, the tour takes in the Perito Moreno Glacier which is the only glacier known to be constantly growing. Take a boat out to the glacier where you can hike the five metre tall wall of ice and enjoy the stunning views.

Ecuador: Cotopaxi mountain climbing
For the ultimate mountain climbing adventure, visit the Cotopaxi in Ecuador. The tallest mountain, Chimborazo, in Ecuador stands at 6,268.2 metres high. Here you need crampons and walking sticks as you wade through knee deep snow and glaciers – all above the clouds.

Once you reach the peak, enjoy the views across the mountain peaks and if you’re there at the right time, watch the sun rising over the mountains.
