Romsey house hunters turned up in their droves on Saturday 11th February to mark the launch of two show homes at Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties’ Abbotswood development.

The team at the popular development in Romsey pulled out all of the stops with an Alice in Wonderland themed Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and judging by the smiles on the guest’s faces, they didn’t disappoint.

Around 75 people attended the launch event and were treated to a delightful spread including sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, while the Mad Hatter himself provided entertainment in the form of a magic show, balloon modelling and plate spinning!

Visitors were also given a tour around the new show homes at the development - the fabulous five bedroom Buckingham and the stunning three bedroom Chichester. They were also able to speak to the experienced sales team who were on hand to answer their questions, as well as finding out more about the collection of high quality new homes being built.

Sarah Pasco, regional sales director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party was a great way to mark the launch of our fabulous new show homes at Abbotswood. With a lot of very eager house hunters visiting on the day, I recommend anybody interested in moving to Abbotswood to come along to the development sooner rather than later, as I’m sure the homes won’t be around for long!”

There are currently a range of three, four and five bedroom detached homes available at Abbotswood, with prices starting from £375,000. Each of the properties offers stylish and spacious accommodation designed to meet the ever changing needs of today’s home owner.

The development is ideally located in historic Romsey, close to Southampton and Winchester, and lies on the River Test which is famous for fly fishing. There are a number of fine historic buildings that can be admired, along with a stunning Romanesque Abbey. Built in the 12th and 13th century and once home to Lord Mountbatten of Burma, it dominates the lively town and provides an excellent focal point. There’s also a good selection of high street shops, restaurants and gastro pubs, as well as beautiful parkland to explore.
